Being on the edge of the Cotswold and only a stones throw from rural Wiltshire you will never be stuck for things to see and do while staying with us.
For sightsee'ers Cirencester,Oxford, Bath and Salisbury are all within an hours drive of the site and of course the beautiful Cotswolds and rural Wiltshire are both right on our doorstep. Take your pick from Bath Spa, Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Avebury and the famous Wiltshire white horses not to mention the endless possibilities in and around the Cotswolds.
For the sports orientated there is the Cotswold Water Park with it's many lakes for water ski-ing, jet ski-ing, wind surfing and wake boarding. There is also a man made beach for those not wanting to get their feet wet!
The River Thames which is only 300yds from the campsite offers more opportunities for messing about on the river! Boats are available to hire and the river is popular for barge cruises, canoeing and fishing. Lechlade and nearby Bibury both have trout farms and fisheries which are well worth a visit for any angler.
Because of our wonderful surroundings there are endless opportunties for walkers and cyclists, we are situated on the Thames Path and the ancient Ridgeway path is only a few miles away where it passes over the famous White Horse at Uffington.
If you prefer a more leisurely stroll why not take in one of the many chocolate box villages within close proximity such as Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Burford.
We are approx 5 miles from Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens where you can see a vast collection of wildlife, reptiles and beautiful gardens. Visit their website for further information and to plan your visit.
Before you leave check out our lovely market town. Lechlade is famous for it's many antique shops, beautiful church, starting point of the River Thames and of course it's Christmas shop! If you love Christmas be sure to pop in, it is christmas everyday here.
